Mother's Day Contest

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I was able to successfully use monofilament thread for the first time after many previous attempts - I had just about given up on ever being able to use it. I was also amazed at how emotional she was when she opened it (she lives hundreds of miles from us). To know that something that I enjoy doing brought joy to someone else was such a great feeling. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't get caught up of trying to replicate something exactly. Go with the flow - the end result is always better than what we could have achieved no matter how meticulously planned out the project is at the start..

What you will need

  • Cotton commercial print fabric
  • monofilament thread
  • fusible web
  • poly-blend thread
  • cotton batting

This just touched my heart in so many ways - what a wonderful, beautiful tribute to this mother. Such a precious gift I could not have imagined receiving. I wish I had a photo of my husband and his mother I could do this with because he had such a beautiful relationship with his mom and she was an angel. I loved her to pieces. Beautifully done!
Little L answered:
