Mother Elsa

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I quilted it and that was when I didn't know anyting about quilting and quiltmotifs. I looked a lot at Leah Day's website for inspirations. I didn't know how to attache the binding, so I refered to a little handbook. I didn't come out well, so one year later, when I had learned more, I remade the binding. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Get a good instructor to guid you!

Q&A with BabsK

Pamillia asked:
BabsK, this has to be one of the best that I have ever seen. Beautiful, your craftsmanship, colors & fabrics. You also have a beautiful Mum. Thank you so much for sharing.
BabsK answered:
Thank you for your lovely words. It was really hard to make, but if you take one step at a time you can really finish difficult projects.
kvonnordheim asked:
Beautiful!!! How many hours is in this quilt?!? Absolutly stunning!!!
BabsK answered:
Hours, I don't know, but from start to finished it took 4 months. And the remaking om the binding one year later of course. I have a lot of things going on in my life, so I can't quilt all the time. :)
