Q&A with QuiltDude

Beth245 asked:
Wow QuiltDude - this is gorgeous - love the fabrics you have chosen and your free motion quilting looks brilliant. You certainly know how to put fabrics together.
QuiltDude answered:
Thanks for all the kind words, Beth! :-) :-) :-)
EvaPaige QD asked:
DUDE! I ADORE THIS! I'm seriously pissed off right now that this is the first I am seeing of this project when it has been up for so many months. I'd have been by months ago to fawn all over it. SO so so fantastic. I've yet to see it done in "man" colors, and this is stunning. Snap and attitude, indeed. Thank you so much for your amazing words about how much you love this pattern. It is my favorite that I have ever designed and I am just thrilled that it can bring people joy.
QuiltDude answered:
Thanks for your nice words, Kelli This pattern really was easy and fun, and comes together fast, that's a win-win-win situation! I actually had it posted for a while, but only recently saw your pattern here on Craftsy, and that's when I linked it to you. I have a secret, I actually made one extra block in a bright purple that I was going to put in the quilt, just to give it a pop of color, but then I got carried away and didn't realize I had left it out until the whole top was done Oh, well....But I still really really like how this turned out. I actually have it on my bed as I type this! LOL Cheers! And thanks for such a great pattern. -Jose.
EvaPaige QD asked:
Ha - I have a secret, too. My name is Beth. :) I get called Eva a lot due to my biz name, but Kelli is a first! Love that you made a purple block and then forgot to put it in. Totally something I would do. I hope you won't sue me, but I was so excited by your love for this pattern and my love for your quilt yesterday that I linked it to my EPQD facebook page. It was well liked by all!
QuiltDude answered:
I won't sue. LOL It is actually flattering. And, uh, sorry about calling you Kelli, I could have sworn that was the name on your blog. Oops, okay, Beth it is from now on!
NanaJeanFL asked:
Fabulous quilt! I love the tone on tones. Such a visual impact this makes. Well done Dude!!
QuiltDude answered:
Thanks, Jean. This was fun, and deceptively simple. There are small pieces, yes, but it comes together quickly. I wanted a "manly" quilt and I loved this pattern. So, there you go. LOL
