Miranda's Quillow

What are you most proud of? I'm very pleased with the way the colours blend, having been based on the "crane" fabric, which was my starting point. I was also pleased with my first attempt at free-motion quilting on the central panel. It was only vermicelli quilting (stippling), but I think I managed it okay. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use one fabric with several colours in it as a starting point and choose the rest of your fabrics to blend. Then, just design as you go and be as adventurous as you like!

You Can Make This

patz in suffolk made Miranda's Quillow with:

  • Pure cotton fabric
  • cotton thread
  • polyester wadding (batting).
