Memaw's Quilt

What are you most proud of? To see Debbie's face when I gave her the quilt was priceless. She had to use some of Memaw's kleenex's. What advice would you give someone starting this project? There were so many different weights of fabric. I had to use iron-on facing to stablize a lot of the fabrics so it did add a lot of time to the completing the quilt, but it was worth it.

You Can Make This

Kirasma made Memaw's Quilt with:

  • When one of my best friend's mother passed
  • I offered to make a memory quilt for her from her mother's shirts
  • dresses

Q&A with Kirasma

Pam NZ asked:
Beautiful way for Debbie to keep her Memaw with her. What a comfort this quilt must be. You are such a special friend, perfect match for beautiful memories. Clever you for remembering the pockets too ;-)
Kirasma answered:
Thanks for your kind remarks. I have actually made 4 more quilts for Debbie (son, daughter, 2 grandsons).
