Lucy Glenn's quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I did not have enough watermelon pink so I started it with hot pink and ended with orange from my stash. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You are only turning a nine patch and cutting it into a square. When you run out of the color fabric you need improvise.

What you will need

  • Quilting cottons

I have a book that has knit and crochet afghan patterns based on quilt patterns. Your baby quilt sort of reminds me of one of the quilt patterns in my book called Broken Dishes. It's a lovely quilt and your use of the watermelon, hot pink and orange was brilliant. I am sure that the recipient will be very happy with your gift!
Merrypal answered:
Thank you so much. When you don't have -- improvise!

I love this - what a unique twist of on point! It definitely made me look twice. I will add this to my list of things to try! Thank you for sharing. I love the colors too, and think the addition of the hot pink and orange make the quilt!
Merrypal answered:
Glad you like it and see it as a possibility for you!
