Q&A with Bwabie

Daniel Becker asked:
I know I am doing the Leah Day quilting a sampler in 2017, but couldn't help but notice your fantastic Lone Star using tan and cream batiks. Love this Lone Star design and your color choices. If you get this, would you mind telling me where I can get the pattern? Don't mind paying a fee if needed. You did a wonderfully professional and awesome looking quilt.
Bwabie answered:
Hello i created (pieced it) this at a one day workshop. The star is actually cut from one piece of material If you look at the stripe boarder that is the actual material that was cut in a diagonal pattern and then sewed into the diamond shaped. Usually when you do a lone star you have to sew strips of different colours together (I did that for my other lone star quilt) then cut and sew strips together to form diamond. I think it was northcott material thar I used Just had to do the triangle inseam and quilt away. It was really easy to make compared to the traditional way of making a lone star. Thank you for the wonderful compliments as I am a weekend quilter and not a professional ....lol
