Kaffe Fassett Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I was able to make it big enough when I ran out of fat quarters for squares. I then was able to find 1 yard each of 2 different fabrics and was able to piece the sides, top and bottom borders and make the shams. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find stripes that you like and if it is all fat quarters, you can get 4 blocks out of each fat quarter and have a strip on the edge left over for making a pieced binding.

What you will need

  • Many many fat quarters
  • all stripes designed by Kaffe Fassett.

I thought this was a kit and wanted to buy it.. could you tell me where to get the pattern and how did you pick all those beautiful colors
gurlfriday answered:
I didn't really have to pick the colors, they were all Kaffe Fassett fabrics and my local quilt shop, Alma Sue's, had them and I just bought as many as I could. It is like the cover on his book, Passionate Patchwork. However, I didn't do as much work as he did on his. My daughter, Carmen, showed me how to cut the fat quarters to get the chevrons. She was a big help.
Saberz Mom asked:
