Julia Ward Howe, Southwest style!

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I've never done a block with so many pieces! It's not perfect, but came out pretty well. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Precise seams in that center section are critical. I loved the not-pressing idea, as it does minimize stretching, but I should have done a bit more pressing in the center section.

What you will need

  • I used odds and ends of batiks I had
  • as well as a fat quarter from my stash. I was worried about using several shades of brown but the batiks pulled it all together.

Thanks Ladymax... I know I'll look at it later and wish I'd done things differently, but that learning process is what it's all about I think!
