Project Description

What are you most proud of? This is the very first time that I have used my design wall in earnest. Usually I form my quilts on a horizontal surface, only to find my cat has taken much delight in 'redesigning' my master plan for me. This helped me to sort out the colours, going from light to dark and back to light. I am moderately pleased with the stars; they were quite fiddly and I did think I had matched the intersections more accurately than the photo shows, but none-the-less I'm quite pleased with it. Also, I was concerned about the bias edge on the triangles but it lies perfectly flat and is square so I must have done something correctly. I do still have to put a border around it and then sandwich, quilt, and bind it - but as holidays are almost over that will have to wait a few more weeks... (something to look forward to) What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is such a quick and easy quilt - it must have come together in a couple of days - so if you are pushed for time this would be a great project to tackle...

Q&A with quilt-a-lot

Cathathome asked:
It looks fabulous. I am in awe of your ability to snatch time, in your really busy life, to accomplish quilting. Well done.
quilt-a-lot answered:
Thanks Cath! just back from Yr 8 camp... so might have to find time to quilt this weekend to relax.
