Jesse's Christmas Stocking

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Improvisational What are you most proud of? I love how the fabrics look together.... and the pattern they made when I sewed the strips together. I am excited to give it to my gorgeous little grandson, Jesse, for his first Christmas :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? I just sewed all the 1.5 inch strips then cut the whole piece into 1.5 inch strips then turned every other strip up-side-down and sewed them together. I then quilted it with stitch in the ditch.

What you will need

  • Christmas Fabric from stash
  • batting
  • Embroidered Alphabet Applique Letters from Minerva Craft Centre UK

Q&A with desna

Pam NZ asked:
Aaaaw very cute Desna! Ooooh look at the wee squares... and LOVE how you've done his name! Well done you!
desna answered:
Thanks Pam, this was a very fun project to do for little Jesse and it now is hanging in his home waiting for Santa:) I am afraid I cheated with the name, looks so much better than anything I could have done.
Larri M asked:
This is wonderful! Love those teeny squares & fun lettering. Great job! Your grandson will treasure this. Merry Christmas!
desna answered:
Thank you, Jesse will be able to hang this up every Christmas and hopefully will come to treasure it simply because his granny had made it especially for him.
Lisa Gardner asked:

desna answered:
