How wonderfully the pattern worked out as far as the colors blending. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The more modern Jelly Rolls seem to be too busy. Damsel asked:
Very Petty!
purejoypatterns answered:
Thank you so much! Happy sewing!
Bonnie Wilson asked:
I think you're exactly right about this needing smaller prints. I love your colors, and I wouldn't ususally say I like pastels - it looks almost like an impressionist painting. I like the border fabric too - a nice contrast.
purejoypatterns answered:
Thanks Bonnie. I appreciate you observations. Happy Sewing!
Bonnie Wilson asked:
I followed the link to your comment to my first comment, and I wanted to tell you again, the more I look at this quilt, the more I love it. What fabric line did you use - I don't recognize it. A picture of this will definitely go on my "quilts I want to make" list hanging in my sewing room.
purejoypatterns answered:
Bonnie, I'm sorry but this was an old line. The fabric was given to me. I have been trying to remember the name and it just has escaped me. The border was some fabric I found at JoAnn's last year. I just knew I wanted to use it when I saw it. I'll let you know when I think of it. There is a line out now I love called Blueberry Crumb Cake. If you like blue, it would be beautiful.

I know this is an old project, but I just found it and you have made me a follower! This and your celestial bargello I just love I hope to be able to do something like this one day. I have a terrible problem picking material for either braids or bargellos, but yours truly are beautiful. Thank you for something to aspire to.
purejoypatterns answered:
Thank you so much for your sweet comments. The nice thing about using precuts like Jelly Rolls or Layer Cakes is you don't have to pick out 10 or more different fabrics. That's why I use them. When I worked in a quilt shop I saw how people had a hard time picking out fabrics. They were my inspiration for finding a better way.
