Japanese Style Quilt.

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Not really very proud of myself. I wish I had not given her so many of my quilts. I would have sold them rather than have them in the attic of her big home. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy an "round the world" pattern. Use Asian fabrics. cut 6" pieces to sew into the border at these odd angles but don't worry about making it look just like this. Use your own imagination. It will be great! Just don't give them away like I did. Then you won't have to be sad that you will never see them again. Right?

What you will need

  • Gilded Asian fabrics. A pattern that is an "around the world" quilt. It has a special border with some large pieces sewed across at top and bottom. This was very hard. The original pattern published used Koi fabrics and that is why the pattern was called Very Koi.
