Hug for Q

What are you most proud of? This was my first quilt. I quilted it on my home sewing machine. It was also the first time that I cut and made my binding, which I put on using mitered corners. I What advice would you give someone starting this project? With so much purple in the center, I had a little difficulty picking out a border and binding fabric. I took my quilt to the local quilt shop, and she helped me pick out fabric to frame it nicely. I have to say, I would never have picked green to go with purple, but I love the way the green compliments the center. I guess I would say if you are not sure of your colors, keep an open mind. Sometimes what you think won't work, is the best choice.
