Hoppin' Boots

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Getting it done! It's not perfect but unless the Quilt Police come to my house and give it a two inch inspection folks will go "wow!" I really like my use of Radiance fabric as an accent and the free-motion stitching around the flower. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep learning! While I've added this project to the Borders class, it really is a culmination of the free-motion quilting skills I've learned by working through many of the FMQ classes. Each one gives me inspiration, helps me learn new skills, and allows me to be forgiving of myself during the learning process.

Q&A with Joanna Strohn

SnailsPaceLynda asked:
I want this pattern!!! I know for whom I'd make an entire quilt of boots!
Joanna Strohn answered:
See my other comments ... available from thequiltersmarket.com in Tucson, Arizona.
Bentpins asked:
I love that! Was the boot pattern part of the course you took or did you get it somewhere else? I'd love to buy it!
Joanna Strohn answered:
The course is on doing borders and they have a different project. I took what I learned and applied it to this UFO. Yes, the pattern is still available from thequiltersmarket.com. I think you'll have to call the shop to order it.
kpierce909148 asked:
Can I purchase a pattern?
Joanna Strohn answered:
Check with thequiltersmarket.com if they have this as a pattern as well as a kit. I know there is a boot pattern you could adapt to your own designs.
