Harry's changing mat

What are you most proud of? This is a small mat which can be used to put a baby on for a nappy change. It rolls up and will take up very little room in Mummy's bag. I used one of the embroidery stitches on my sewing machine to put a line of ants on the strap, which I'm rather pleased with, as they seem to go with the theme of the caterpillar fabric. The strap fastens with Velcro. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a very acceptable and affordable present for a new baby, as it can be quickly made with scraps and is very practical.

You Can Make This

patz in suffolk made Harry's changing mat with:

  • This was made with scraps left over from a quillow and car-seat quilt (photos of both are on my project page) made for a baby boy from Makower "Very Hungry Caterpilllar" cotton fabric and polyester wadding.
