Handprint Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I finished on time!! I have never quilted before, nevermind, a twin size quilt. What can I say, when I do something I do it all the way! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose a solid non-directional fabric for the backing so you don't have to piece and line up both sides of the quilt. The hardest part was lining up seams for individual blocks (back to front). They still aren't perfect, but pretty close to it. Use a single piece of fabric so you don't run into this problem at all!

What you will need

  • I used all cotton materials. Kona cotton for the white and orange parts
  • and a very cute block print from Joann's for the backing. for the batting
  • I used Soft 'n Natural. I picked an all cotton thread and cotton yarn (not easy to find).
