Gramp's Modern Quilt

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Modern Minimal: 20 Bold & Graphic Quilts - Choppy Waters Link to website or photo www.amazon.com/gp/product/1607054868/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1607054868&linkCode=as2&tag=jennifs-20 What are you most proud of? Thinking a bit out side the box. The book called for using all solids and also had you cut the fabric down to a smaller size. Instead I left the pieces as long as I could and made it into a quilt that fits a full size bed, which happens to be the largest quilt I have ever made. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just go for it. It is super easy quick and fun.

What you will need

Q&A with Jenniffier

QuiltDude asked:
Okay, I just read your blog. That was a wonderful, touching story. I like to give quilts as gifts as well, and it really is a good feeling to match the quilt to the person. This story made me smile. Thanks for sharing.
Jenniffier answered:
I just now saw this comment. Thanks for the kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed the story.
rachel_lou asked:
Nice! I'm looking for some inspiration for a quilt for my son using Parson Gray's fabrics. This is a great inspiration!
Jenniffier answered:
I really like how this quilt turned out. It was just masculine enough and it was pretty quick to put together. There are some other great patterns in that book, that could also fit that description. I just really like the simple lines of this pattern.
