Project

Glory

What are you most proud of? The hand-stitching turned out very well and gives it a real country look. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do the background and border first, then fit a wonky star in the middle and applique using black floss and a blanket stitch. To help, fuse some light interfacing to the back of both the star and the letters. I cut the letters free-hand out of black wool felt, and they were also appliqued the same way. I appliqued the star in the "O" first, then appliqued the "O" to the background.

You Can Make This

TheBee made Glory with:

  • Cottons in barn red
  • navy and gold; black wool for the letters.
