Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Garden Trellis Link to website or photo www.barnesandnoble.com/s/jelly-roll-quilts?keyword=jelly+roll+quilts&store=allproducts What are you most proud of? When my friend received the quilt, she cried. She included a picture of the quilt in her Christmas card, which was the kindest show of appreciation that I have ever received. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a great first quilt pattern for anyone who wants to try their hand at "points" in a quilt. The finished size is 56" x 67", so it is not too large to work with when using a home sewing machine. Also, if a jelly roll is used, the cutting is very quick and easy. The pattern is well written and the instructions are clear to follow.

What you will need

  • One jelly roll + two yards of fabric for borders and binding. Additionally
  • 3.5 yards of fabric were used for the backing.

Q&A with kellyedge

Sharonlea asked:
What a beautiful quilt! It looks ridiculously complicated but you say it's easy; I'm going to make it. Thanks for posting.
kellyedge answered:
Thanks, Sharonlea! This was the first full sized quilt that I ever made and I found the only difficult part was trying to figure out how to nest the triangles on top of one another.
Sharonlea asked:
When I click on the link several books come up. Which book is this pattern in?
kellyedge answered:
