Project

Galactic Explosion BOM

What are you most proud of? The quilting. I used techniques learned in Quilting Big Quilts on a Small Machine and was thrilled with the outcome. The quilt lay flat, the stitching is some of my best, the threads didn't break and I enjoyed every minute of the work that went into this quilt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Fabric selection is key to getting the explosion feel in the quilt. The only thing I did different than was suggested in the pattern, I used solid black on the outside border rather than several different black fabrics. I would certainly do this project again.

kpquilts49 asked:
Love this quilt. Do you or anyone else know where I can get this pattern! I want to make it!
Copper Top answered:
Sorry for the delaying in replying. I found the pattern on-line. Let me see if I can find it again when I get home. It is a Block of the Month called "Gallactic Explosion". If not, maybe I can get a copy to you either by mail or email.
kpquilts49 asked:
KKM, it would be great if you can get a copy of the original pattern to me. I have not been able to find it anywhere. I have found a similar pattern, but not this one. Kirsten
Copper Top answered:
I would be happy to scan and email or mail you a hard copy. Can you find me on Facebook at Kristina K. Morris and send me a message with name and info? I will work in this over the weekend. Happy to help a fellow quilter.
kpquilts49 asked:
Kristina, I think I found you on facebook and sent a message with my email. Let me know if you got it. Otherwise, I will post it here. Kirsten
Copper Top answered:
I never got it, so just email me at quiltingnswva@centurylink.net. Thanks, Kristina
