FREE Shamrock Coaster

What are you most proud of? I really enjoy making the flying geese blocks. It is such a simple way of making small geese and they are easy to stitch together. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This little coaster (finished size 5" square) is constructed from patched flying geese blocks. As such it is perfect for practising your 1//4" seams and patchwork method. Take your time, have fun and turn those scraps into a functional little coaster.

Q&A with The Patchsmith

maggie3411@shaw.ca asked:
I love making coasters and Mug Rugs. Did you Paper Piece the shamrock? Cute!
The Patchsmith answered:
Hi Maggie, I love making coasters and mug rugs too. It is nice to create a functional little item in an hour or two. I patched the Shamrock. It is made up on 'flying geese' blocks - little ones. The FREE pattern includes two methods for making these little blocks. Kind regards Amanda
