What are you most proud of? I like the framed effect a wider border adds to the pattern. The pattern allows for a traditional binding method or a mock binding method. In the pattern the mock binding method uses 3/4" borders to create a thin 'binding' effect. I thought it might be fun to make the borders slightly wider at 1" to see how it looks. It has created a framed effect rather than a border which adds a different dimension to the pattern. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You could make the borders any width you like and turn this little pattern into a snack mat or a block for a larger item. Whatever size you cut the borders - have fun and play with the effects.
