Q&A with TerryChase

Needlecat asked:
Really nice! I'll be working on a home machine, too, and I hope my first try is half this good!
TerryChase answered:
I discovered that going slowly is hard. Going fast and making things a bit bigger works better. This was, of course, an 11 x 11' block and not a whole quilt.
Ralitza asked:
Beautiful! The circles look like dew :)
TerryChase answered:
Thank you. It gives me a new way to view them. Up close a lot are "jerky" since I'm not smooth at this yet, but as Angela said, if you use a blending thread, nobody will notice (I HOPE!)
jroberts asked:
Well done! Your work looks great! ;)
TerryChase answered:
Thanks. It's surprising to me that even with all the goofs, overall it's OK. asked:
your work looks wonderful! I love how nice and round your swirls and pebbles are.
TerryChase answered:
The bigger ones are rounder. I found them easier to do. The little ones are hard, but as I look at it this morning, I'm pleased enough to go on and quilt something real.
mo.sews asked:
first try really? Oh wonderful job! I'm hopeful now that I might not mess up my mom's quilt! Excellent!
TerryChase answered:
You won't. Practice first though. I've got a bunch of 11" x 11" "sandwiches" of muslin and batting to practice on before I start the actual quilting. This is the BEST I've ever done. I love this class.
