Project

First birthday gift

What are you most proud of? That I made this from my stash and leftover supplies and didn't need to make a trip to the fabric store. Amazing, but true. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make the letters first, and don't trim them down until you are sure you have them where you want them. I do wish the bottom of the "O" lined up with the "livia", but I didn't realize this until it was too late to fix it. Word to the wise...cover your pressing surface with a piece of muslin or something you don't care about. A section of my ironing board cover is now decorated with lots of little black lines...printer ink that transferred to the board while pressing the pieces as I went along.
