and thought it would be a good color chice to make a small quilt for the living rooom color scheme at my son and daughter-in-law's new house. When I went to check what I might have to use for the back
I found a just right length of black and white birch trees fabric that I bought just because I loved it one day at a quilt shop. I have only a few piano-key scraps of the layer cake left. and only a narrow strip of the birch bark fabric which was trimmed off in squaring up the quilt
so I used the fabric to maximum advantage. I also used a small amount of solid black for the binding and some of the piano-keys in the border. They are pretty short keys
because the size was limited by the amount of backing fabric.
