February 2013 BOM

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This block was a challenge for me because of all of the seams. I had never tried the Y-seam before, so my finished seam is a little awkward. It's not bad for a first attempt, but I am looking forward to practicing more. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be careful with the 1/4 inch seams. Mine were a little off so my finished block is about 1/2 inch too small, which is a real bummer.

What you will need

  • Assorted 100% quilting cotton fabrics in warms and cools.

love your mix of colors. I have not yet gotten into making the block of the month. Don't you just love Craftsy! I have learned so much from the classes they offer.
@threegreenbananas answered:
Thanks! And I do love Craftsy! :) I'm a couple of months behind on my blocks, but I look forward to the May block so I can sew a few month's worth at a time. I learn a lot, too, and I love being inspired by everyone's beautiful projects.
