Fat Quarter Bundle Project

Project Description

What are you most proud of? It was so much fun working with a friend, putting our heads together and coordinating our efforts. My friend had just started her quilting service business and we were experimenting with ways to make a few bucks. All of this was done over miles, as I was working from Saskatchewan and she was way north in Ft. McMurray, AB. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Share your ideas with a friend, work together to create and share projects. It's so much fun and friendships are made forever.

What you will need

  • A FQ bundle of At Waters Edge by Moda.

Q&A with Betsy0

NanaJeanFL asked:
These are gorgeous! Did you use a pattern? I'd like to know its source.
Betsy0 answered:
The quilts are a couple of years old, so I don't remember what my inspiration was. One is made from a variation of the Nine Patch. The other is strips sewn together and cut on any angle. Then the long strips are sewn together. I tend to make my quilts from pictures that I see and rarely follow specific cutting directions.

Fat quarter
Betsy0 answered:
Yep, it was a FQ bundle with one of every color and pattern in the collection, probably 40 FQs. I chose different color ways for each of the quilts.
