Q&A with Cindyjk

Marie Flannery asked:
I love it! I need to make a quilt as a raffle item for a basset hound specialty show and I've been trying to come up with ideas. Did you draw the applique or was there a pattern somewhere? Hope you are enjoying your puppy!!
Cindyjk answered:
Do you know the Rushworths? They are also in Basset Hounds and I know she did something for the Nationals. I just took an outline of a gaiting ECS and made my applique from that. I made one for the National a few years back with a big applique in the center . That one was a stacked version.. My puppy is now 3! We also have her uncle who is 6. Both are blue roan.
Davesmom asked:
Your ideas are interesting. What a lucky person to get this lovely quilt. I like the pattern set up as well.
Cindyjk answered:
I think I was the lucky one! I got a great dog.

I have English Cockers and would love to get a pattern for this quilt. The national specialty is going to be held near my town next year. This quilt would make an excellent raffle item.
Cindyjk answered:
I don't have a pattern for the quilt. I made it up. If you are involved in ECS you probably know the owner of this quilt. It belongs to Chereen Nawrocki. Several years ago I made a quilt for the National that was held in PA. It was raffled and a woman from Canada won it. I got the block design for the quilt from the book Block Party and built it around the center panel. Chereen gave me the gaiting outline for the appliqued dogs. Hope this helps
