Project Description

What are you most proud of? I was very proud to be able to honor my sister-in-law's hard work and years of service to the university using my creativity and experience to create something she will use and hopefully treasure for years. There were lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" at the unveiling- it's always nice to have your work admired! : ) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Think carefully about the order in which the layers should be assembled: I made some sections as units to add fine details and texture to them before adding them, such as the building and the bridge. It was tricky to get all of the layers together without the project getting too stiff or thick, so I used fabric glue sticks to hold some very small items in place until I could sew them down, which added less stiffness than the fusible.
