Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of how I captured the mood and how close the likeness my artwork was to the actual photo. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You must absolutely have the best quality photo and subject matter to begin with, The lighting is super important, as it also sets the mood. The larger you work, the easier it is to add important detail. Take your time choosing exactly the right fabrics, and your art quilt will be amazing!

What you will need

  • Cotton
  • hand dyed and various landscape fabrics

I have a neo mastiff name Queen Sadie and she is four years old and she look just like your dog. Same color I am so proud of you for making this quilt. I would love to learn how you did this? I am new at this. Again Love, Love, Love, :0)
Louise Brogan answered:
Thank you so much! Get a good photo, enlarge it, then trace the outlines on a piece of clear plastic or acetate. Fin it over so you now see the reverse. Put the drawing on a light box, and trace the reverse onto the paper backing side of fusible web. Iron the fusible we onto white muslin. Put it back on the light box , fabric side up, and use colored pencils to trace onto fabric. Now you have a template to work from.
