Disappearing Shelter Squares

What advice would you give someone starting this project? A fun and easy pattern even though I didn't use precuts for this one. Don't worry about matching colors. I started to try and pre-match but didn't have enough and found I actually preferred mixed blocks. I suggest pick at random but avoid same fabric in each nine patch.

You Can Make This

ShoreCrafter made Disappearing Shelter Squares with:

  • Cotton / cotton blend - reclaimed and repurposed scraps from a "fabric bomb" project left on a bus shelter. It had to be removed for passenger safety / security and was left unclaimed. Variety of blends and some rather ugly (subjective of course) and after Jenny's class
  • thought that this would be a fun way to use the material. I added some filler from old worn clothes.
