Deconstructed Beauty

What are you most proud of? The paper piecing, I wanted to make a traditional quilt but when I put it together as a traditional New York Beauty it didn't work because I had not trimmed my blocks so they did not lie flat which ruined the looked, so I tore the first quilt up and "deconstructed" it. I love the final chaos particularly as you can still see some traditional blocks. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time, trim your pieces properly, measure properly or make mischief as I did!

Q&A with Patsy52

Peggy Martin asked:
What a fun, funky quilt! I figured that you were a contemporary quilt artist and came up with this fantastic design - would have never known that your original blocks had problems, and that was how this quilt came about! Just tell your friend that you wanted to make him a really special contemporary art piece, because that is what this quilt is!!
Patsy52 answered:
Thanks for that Peggy, I have loved your class and am so pleased you like my quilt. Here's to many more.
