Dashing through the snow

Loved this project, thanks Caroline! I can see how it could be addicting! I decided to make my own skirt this year to go with a new tree decor for my little ones. I wanted fun, whimsy & all winter wonderland critters & activities (ice skates, sleds, & winter accessories mittens, boots etc) the colored balls were my color inspo. I love batiks but rarely use them & saw the purple one with what looked like snow swirling on it & decided on the theme Dashing through the snow! So I tried to find fabric that looked like it had movement & “snow”. I decided to keep the greens constant so that with all of the color your eyes could focus or rest. Most fabrics were in my stash. My daughter helped pick out the sparkly heart buttons & she & my son helped place them & “sewed” with me so it was a family project with husband helping with fabric selection! It got us all in the spirit & what some called a weekend project was weeks for me lol, not due to difficulty but to available time! Finished on 12/23!! Yay!!
