What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Cyclone Star Quilt Link to website or photo www.cherryblossomboutique.biz/whats-happening-now.php What are you most proud of? The color coordination. If there's anything I'm good at, it's combining fabrics to compliment each other. I've been called picky more than once - but it's worth the extra time I take to nitpick. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Trim your seams! I use a quarter inch seam everywhere, then trim it down to an eighth inch after I sew the pieces together. Especially in the center of the stars, the patch has so many seams converging on each other that the patch pinches and the sewing machine refuses to sew through them all unless the seams are trimmed back. Iron your pieces flat individually and then again each time you go to add another piece to it. Then cut on a large mat with a rotary blade. Every time you add a piece, iron it, remeasure it, trim it. Most of the time you are trimming only about 1/8inch off of all four sides, but it is worth the extra time put into it.
