Customer quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I was brave enough to try something new on a paying customer's quilt!! A little bit of 'un-sewing' went on, but it was pretty easy once I got the hang of it. Thanks, Kim! What advice would you give someone starting this project? pay attention in class and draw on paper first! I did, and it saved me some frustration.

Q&A with Wazoo Sue

Darns asked:
Sue, this is so fabulous! I have such a bad case of quilting envy! The mariner's compass is just WOW! Did you have as much fun with the Kimmy filler as I did? I really like the geometric lines of it.
Wazoo Sue answered:
I did! And I am using her ideas on other quilts. The downside is how long it takes me to do them...hours and hours!
patz in suffolk asked:
Absolutely stunning! Your customer must be well pleased. I'm particularly impressed with the Mariner's Compass - it's gorgeous!
Wazoo Sue answered:
take Kimmy Brunner's class here on Craftsy. It made me brave enough to try using templates.
Kimmy Brunner asked:
Oh. My. Gosh. Wow. I love how you quilted this! What a cool use of motifs.
Wazoo Sue answered:
Thanks, Kimmy! You have opened a world of new ideas for my quilting. Now, I just need to practice, practice, practice!!
DeGramma asked:
Wow.......amazing quilt! Love the quilting done in the corners, looks like a mariners compass??? Anyway, it's just gorgeous!
Wazoo Sue answered:
It is from Kimmy Brunner's class. I learned tons of great stuff there.
Barbism asked:
