Crazy quilt

What you will need

  • I used cotton fabric except for one silky-type material from a skirt I had bought at a resale shop. The embroidery was done with #8 perle cotton
  • floss
  • and some metallic threads. All the materials including the old buttons and beads were from my stash
  • which made it fun...creating something from "nothing!"

Q&A with quiltride228655

Allie Aller asked:
You have done a wonderful job and made the most of the class, that is for sure! You should be very proud of your project...and thank you for joining me!
quiltride228655 answered:
I admit I got into it! I spent many happy hours outside on my front porch embroidering and deciding what to do next! I'm a beginner at embroidery and learned a lot. I collected stitch ideas on Pinterest, and I bought a book called Embroidered Memories by Brian Haggard that supplied some great motif ideas. (He mentioned you in the book!) Thanks again for a super fun class, my very first Craftsy class, too!
Scheri Manson asked:
Fabulous, fantastic and it's yours! Beautiful work. Are you now hooked on Crazy Quilting?
quiltride228655 answered:
Thank you! I am hooked, and there was a time I didn't even like crazy quilts! I love how it just grows and creates itself with out a plan, and in the end I get a present! Does that make any sense?? Total creative fun!
