Crazy Quilt I

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try a couple of sample squares before you embark on a commitment to making 35 or more! A lot of what I used were leftover strip pieces 2 1/2" in width but there were also a lot of smaller pieces as well. I used quit a bit of my pile of small bits.

You Can Make This

jmn111 made Crazy Quilt I with:

  • Cotton scraps from other quilts
  • cotton batting - I didn't have a pattern
  • just cut out 7" muslin squares and stitched the scraps to them

Q&A with jmn111

3patch asked:
Love this. I will try to sew similar.
jmn111 answered:
I started by laying a smallish piece of fabric in the center of the muslin square, then added another piece to one side, then worked my way around the square clockwise using a stitch and flip technique - press as you go for better results
