Craftsy on Steroids

What you will need

  • This is my first quilt which I call “Craftsy on Steroids” because it is a culmination of multiple Craftsly classes all in one! Even the fabrics were purchased on Craftsy: The gray solids are from a Kona jelly roll called Silent Film and the prints are Andover Pearl Bracelets. The blocks are a variation of Fantasy Four Patch from Joe Cunningham’s PATTERN FREE QUILTMAKING class. The block formatting and borders were inspired by Camille Roskelley’s Layer Cake 2 in PLAYFUL PIECING TECHNIQUES. For the backing
  • I used Elizabeth Hartman’s CREATIVE QUILT BACKS suggestion of inserting a block mimicking the pattern on the quilt top. I machine quilted for the very first time using concentric gentle curves from Jacquie Gering’s CREATIVE QUILTING WITH YOUR WALKING FOOT class. Finally
  • I finished the quilt with a mitered corner binding technique from Mimi Dietrich’s FINISHING SCHOOL. It’s my first quilt
  • so don’t look too closely!
