Cornerstones Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I was able to give a champion quilt to Clifton and Glenda. I attended their wedding in September, 1958. I married Clifton's older brother, John Dave, in May of the same year. Unfortunately we never got to have a 50th anniversary, so it was important to me to help make sure theirs was happy.. I thought the label that I made for their quilt was kind of neat and appropriate. I think it all came together pretty well. They are proud of it, and still consider me their sister as we all grew up together from teenager's. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I can't think of anything that was out of the usual. Just follow pattern instructions. If you make a mistake take it out and keep trying-you will get it right and learn from it.

What you will need

  • 100% cotton fabric and 100% cotton Warm and White batting
