Coneflower - My First Pictorial Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? the entire quilt. My FMQ could DEFINITELY use some work.. practice practice practice, thankfully it looks good on the front and it's going to a family member so I'm not so worried about it, but that is def something I gotta work on. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is easier than you think, so take the class and try it. I've already gathered a folder full of my own photos to turn into quilts, so excited!

What you will need

Thank you! About to start working on a second one {someone saw this on FB and asked for one}
Jennifer Thomas asked:
It's an imagination flower! Beautiful. Keep practicing the FMQ-ing. I am doing the same & it keeps getting better. Thanks for sharing your quilt. Have a super day!
gmhnQuilts answered:
Thanks, I will. I have not taken a FMQ how-to class but I am enrolled in the free motion and more class, which is basically the different stitches NOT how to do it for beginners, so basically teaching myself.
Majfrid asked:

patz in suffolk asked:
Lovely - I've got this course, but haven't had time even to look at it yet. I really must do so soon - so much to do; so little time to do it! You've inspired me to try to find the time!
gmhnQuilts answered:
Thank you! Glad I inspired someone! I'm about to make my second one {as requested} then hopefully design my own from a photo.
