Commemorative quilt for Eagle Scout

What are you most proud of? This is the first Big quilt I have ever finished! What advice would you give someone starting this project? When you use the picture transfers, do not iron from the right side of fabric. That would melt the transfers!

You Can Make This

MamaGuppy made Commemorative quilt for Eagle Scout with:

  • Quilt Grade 100% Cotton Fabric
  • Picture Transfers (Pictures directly printed on fabric)
  • Old t-shirts scraps

Q&A with MamaGuppy

lisademet17115165 asked:
Hi MamaGuppy. Could you provide more pictures of this with close up shots. This is relly amazing. Great job and such a treasure for your son.
MamaGuppy answered:
Hello, I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond. Thank you so much for your comment and my son seems to cherish this this quilt. I have just uploaded some more pictures I have of the quilt. Since I am not normally a quilter (I'm a fashion sewist), the finish isn't very good but I tried my best. This quilt tells my son's scout story starting from his investiture (Left top) goes around counter clock wise to the center (Eagle scout). I combined scrap materials from his scout uniforms etc., pictures printed on fabric and embroidery to make this. Although I don't normally enjoy making quilts, making this his story quilt was fun. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'll do my best to answer it.
