College Memories

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I actually completed it!!! LOL. Ann's technique of the split batting made it possible to quilt this on my Brother CS6000i with much less aggravation than I had quilting a much smaller quilt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it!! If I can do it, you surely can! This was only the 3rd quilt I'd made.

What you will need

  • Colorfast fabric sheets for inkjet printers by June Tailor

Q&A with Didash

Marie Genereux asked:
Your niece will love this quilt!
Didash answered:
Actually, she saw it while I was doing the hand sewing on the binding...she LOVED it! So glad...LOL!
Ann Petersen asked:
Lovely and very personal gift - Good Job!
Didash answered:
I'm so glad I took this course! Of the 5 quilts I have made (all in the past 4 mos), only the first was a small throw! The second one I made was twin size and I had so much trouble quilting it on the small machine!! Unfortunately I can't afford a longarm service, so I had to learn to get it done with what I had. Thank you so much!!! PS - also learned that "old" Press and Seal works better than a "new" roll. The new roll gunked up the needle :(
