Project Description

What are you most proud of? Even though the coasters were so small, most of the points matched up. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Everyone has scraps and making something out of them is worth the hassle of saving them.

What you will need

  • Triangle leftovers from my Hometown quilt
  • walking foot with edge-stitching presser foot
  • Quilt-in-a-Day triangle square-up template

Wonderful pattern! I plan to use my scraps to make coasters for all of my friends for Christmas.
Arlene C answered:
Thank you. Now that I've made these once, I think I'll try for a mug rug size next time.

Ooh I love these little coasters. I too have made some coasters for my mum and daughters for Mother's Day out ot some 'crumbs' ... I got pattern from a tutorial by Kaye Prince.
Arlene C answered:
Thank you. I love making smaller items because they are great gifts, practice for me, and a use for 'crumbs' that I would have previously discarded. I like reading your comments because it is fun seeing your words that mean the same compared to what we're used to.
MsQuilty asked:
Love this idea, Arlene! Did you put batting or anything in them?
Arlene C answered:
Thanks. Yes, I used scrap batting.
