Class Project

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I love how it turned out! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use the Class Materials for reference after you've watched the videos and you should do fine.

What you will need

  • I used almost all cotton from Moda's "Paris Flea Market" line by 3 Sisters
  • as well as a few fancy fabrics. Threads were cotton floss
  • floche and perle all by DMC; silk ribbon was 4mm and 7mm by Riversilks. A scattering of beads
  • premade fabric flowers
  • and laces were used as well.

Q&A with Allie Aller

ekrysz190283 asked:
As an ardent, but self taught, crazy quilter I have loved your class ! Thank you for your clear instruction and for talking about style, too !
Allie Aller answered:
I'm so happy you've enjoyed our class together. Thank you!
Lynda F asked:
Very nice! I will be glad when I get to the point that I dare to start using the beautiful class material. I am still practicing on scraps.
Allie Aller answered:
Practicing is such a good investment of your time. Good for you!
This quilt is very inspirational, as was your class. I watched your whole class and have started going through my fabrics to choose the best colours for my crazy quilt. I am favouring the pink pastels but not sure of the drama colour yet. I have worked with silk ribbon so really look forward to embellishing with that. I even bought 'lace' placemats and cut them up already in anticipation. Thanks for your great class.
Allie Aller answered:
MaryAnne, thank YOU! I love that you bought placemats with the intention of cutting them up. That is CQ for sure! Be sure and post photos.....
