Project

Circles Baby Quilt

Project Description

What was your inspiration? I was inspired by a color block rug the new parents were using in the nursery. I decided I might have trouble with perfect circles, so went with ovals instead. I designed the pattern using Microsoft Word, then took the 8 1/2 x 11 inch drawing to a copy store and used the over sized copier to enlarge it to 36" I went through my stash to choose colors, using 3 greys, 3 yellows 3 green-(turquoise?) and two oranges. Using the pattern, I placed and stacked the colors. I traced the shapes onto freezer paper, then created a more stable pattern by lamainating three pieces of freezer paper together, cut out shapes.

What you will need

Ditto! It's all good. I like how you've mixed up ovals and circles and the fact that some are crashing into each other. This baby is getting a good start in life.
