Circle of Geese Redo

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Actually even though I redid this one, I still like the other one, so now I have two! My first one is fine; it just needed a little starch and press, didn't turn out to be as week as I thought. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Paper piecing is not for everybody! I will throw myself into that pool. Make one block and see how you like it. You can always make it into a nice cushion if you find the process a bit labor-intensive and don't want to go through with a whole quilt full of pp blocks. I find myself getting annoyed and impatient with the paper removal process afterwards. I just want to sew, iron and be DONE with it!

What you will need

  • Better white fabric than last time! Aqua CC from Joann's and assorted prints.

Q&A with Cat Sultan

Marty23 asked:
I love the aqua background. Makes the white a feature also. I am not thrilled with my completed block either, but I don't have the patience to do a second one. Kudos to you!
Cat Sultan answered:
I can't believe it either. Put a fork in me...I'm done!
Mslee asked:
Very nice movement in the block

banjolady asked:
This is abso;utely gorgeous
Cat Sultan answered:
Thanks! Now time for my Friendship Circle. Oh boy...more paper piecing torture!
Candace in Fl asked:
I really love the look that the two background colors give, almost seems to be a different block entirely.
Cat Sultan answered:
Thanks Candace!
Ladycamper asked:
This is a beautiful block. The blue background pops it all out. I am thinking of doing up a new one too, although paper piecing is not my favourite. I fond it easier to follow the pattern on this circle of geese than the friendship circle
Cat Sultan answered:
So I have been putting off the Friendship Circle for good reason then!
