Christmas wall hanging.

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Quilt-design Link to website or photo http://www.quilt-design.com/BOM/patjuly.htm Tell us more about what inspired you. The unusual Christmas colours. What are you most proud of? I changed the shape of the angel's wing, as I first one which I cut out from the pattern looked a bit weird. I was really happy with my new alternative. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I had never really done applique before. I used 'Steam a seam,' to apply my angel and hearts and didn't need to stitch around them, as they stuck so well.

What you will need

  • I tried to match the colours from the pattern as best as I could. I liked the rusty red and turquoise green shades
  • which were a change from the usual Christmas green and red. I wasn't able to find a dark multi-coloured stripe
  • like the one on the pattern
  • so ended up finally with a leafy batik design which had the right sort of colours.

Q&A with Lynn Acheson

s_cottrel11598561 asked:
Lynn Where can I find this pattern? I would love to make this wall hanging.
Lynn Acheson answered:
Sorry but I am away from home, out of the country for four weeks, so I can't check for you at the moment. When I get back I'll get in touch again. Hopefully I still have a copy or a link to where I got the pattern from.
