What are you most proud of? The gingerbread man looks lovely with his gingham buttons. I also made another version where he is sporting a waistcoat - the pattern allows you to have either. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Faces are notoriously difficult to get right but the gingerbread man's eyes are just five straight stitches sewn next to each other - it works really well and is so easy. I used tailors chalk to mark the position of the eyes before stitching them. (Alternatively you could use a permanent fabric marker but be sure to test it on a scrap of the gingerbread fabric beforehand.) I also think the mug would look good if the centre panel was fussy-cut with a Christmas image or a bird. Mmmm, I might just have to try that.
