Christmas 2012

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Eileen Roches"s HO HO Holiday Applique Quilt Blocks Link to website or photo www.dzgns.com What are you most proud of? Completing this in time for Christmas and plan to make more for family and friends. This was so much fun. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose the fabric you love and have fun. This doesn't take a lot of time or effort. I chose to make the blocks using Eileen's quilt "cracker" technique because I wanted a full cloth back so the embroidery would not show on the back. I also used Charm packs for the appique and that worked out great. The 5x5 squares were perfect for all the appiques except for the star block which took longer material. Also just used one color thread on the star and I like that look. You are in charge of all the thread and material choices so you can customize the look you like. I also plan to make a Christmas Holiday cover for my kindle!
